If you want to prepare yourself ideally for your juice cleanse and make it easier for yourself, there are a few instructions you should follow. 

Prepare yourself mentally

  • Keep reminding yourself that you will soon be starting your juice cleanse, that you have a few tough days ahead of you, but that they will pass. Keep reminding yourself of your goal!

 

Increase the plant-based portion of your diet

  • Plant-based foods are easier for the body to process. By consuming fewer animal products, you can slowly accustom your digestive system to less work.

 

Gradually reduce your calorie intake

Try to reduce your calorie intake two to three days before starting your cleanse so that the transition to fewer calories is not so abrupt and your body can slowly get used to consuming less.

TIP: If you also want to give up coffee, you should reduce your intake gradually to avoid withdrawal headaches!
